When to use the torch flame vs the electric arc? The torch flame is recommended for cigars — it evenly toasts the foot over a wide surface. The electric arc is ideal as a backup mode when you're out of gas, or for lighting smaller formats in windy conditions where even a torch might falter.

Dual power: The torch flame mode uses butane — shipped empty, refill at a tobacconist. The electric arc mode uses a USB battery — cable included, please charge before first use. Both modes are completely independent.

The UV LED for cigars: Under UV light, some treated wrappers or lower-quality leaves react differently than natural leaves. It is a discreet verification tool for connoisseurs who wish to ensure the authenticity and quality of their tobacco before purchase.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the torch flame and the electric arc?
The butane torch flame produces a visible, wind-resistant flame — ideal for the classic, even toasting of a cigar foot. The electric arc creates a plasma between two electrodes without flame or gas, and is USB-rechargeable — a practical backup mode or modern alternative depending on your preference. Both modes are independent.
Is the UV LED useful for cigars?
Under UV light, some treated wrappers react differently than natural leaves. It is a discreet tool for connoisseurs verifying the quality of their tobacco. The UV LED also serves to authenticate banknotes and documents — a versatile feature.
How do I choose between Cuba, Libertad, and Heritage?
All three designs have exactly the same features. Cuba pays homage to history and iconic Cuban figures. Libertad displays the Cuban flag in vivid colors. Heritage celebrates the graphic world of the great manufacturers with its vintage gold labels. The choice is purely aesthetic.
Does the lighter come charged?
The torch flame mode is shipped empty — refill with commercial butane. The electric arc mode comes with a USB cable — please charge the battery before first use. The LCD screen indicates the charge level in real time.
