An accessory that is both beautiful and technical

A true extension of your hand, the lighter reflects your standards and your style. It must be elegant, with careful finishes, sturdy enough for intensive use, and compliant with safety standards to produce a risk-free flame.

Which lighter for which cigar?

The ring gauge determines the type of flame you need:

Single torch lighter: perfect for small ring gauges up to 44 (Panatela, Petit Corona)
Double jet lighter: ideal for classic formats between ring gauge 44 and 52 (Robusto, Corona)
3 or 4 torch lighter: a wide, powerful and even flame for large ring gauges from 54 (Churchill, Toro, Gordo)

Our selection of premium windproof lighters

At Atelier Atypique, we have selected the best windproof lighters on the market. With torches of surgical precision, they ensure controlled lighting without scorching the cigar's wrapper.

Refillable with purified butane gas, our models combine quality, precision and style. Whether you are looking for a discreet lighter or a signature piece in brushed metal or carbon fiber, you will find the perfect companion for your tasting moments in our collection, from €29.90.

FAQ – Buying a cigar lighter

Why is a regular lighter (such as a BIC) not recommended for a cigar?

A BIC lighter or a petrol lighter produces impurities and uneven heat that alter the taste of the cigar. A butane torch lighter gives a clean, odorless and stable blue flame, essential to preserve the aromas of your vitola.

Which lighter should I choose for a large format?

Choose a 3 or 4 torch lighter, or a flat-flame model, for fast, even heating of the cigar's foot on large ring gauges (Churchill, Toro, Gordo).

What is a windproof lighter?

A windproof lighter is a torch model designed to produce a flame even outdoors or in strong wind. It gives a thin, powerful blue flame that is directional and resistant to drafts.

What budget should I plan for a quality cigar lighter?

Our range starts at €29.90 for entry-level butane models. Mid-range models (triple torch, flat flame, built-in tools, carbon fiber) are between €40 and €90. High-end pieces go above €90 — exclusive finishes and matching gift sets.

Is shipping free?

Yes, free shipping. Each lighter is carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition, ideal for gifting.
