It will not develop a patina like cowhide, but it will maintain its look and colors—army green and brown—over time, provided it is not exposed to excessive heat.

According to the product photos, the case is equipped with a humidification disc. Before use, moisten it with distilled water or a propylene glycol solution, depending on its type, following the accompanying instructions; then, wipe away any excess so no drops stain your cigar wrappers. Place it back into the case, close the lid, and let the system stabilize for a few hours before storing your cigars. Recharge it whenever it looks dry, usually before each trip. Never use tap water, as it causes mineral buildup and mold growth.
