While most cigar tubes are merely for mechanical protection, the Sentinelle Quattro incorporates a genuine preservation system: a cap-mounted hygrometer for measurement, a refillable humidifier for regulation, and a side window for visual control. Distilled water only: Never use tap water in the integrated humidifier — minerals will calcify the insert and reduce its diffusion capacity. Check the hygrometer weekly during extended travel. Wipe the inside of the tube with a clean, dry cloth if necessary.

Avoid direct cigar/insert contact: Do not allow your cigars to touch the humidifier insert directly — excessive localized humidity can soak the wrapper and affect the draw. Always slide cigars into the tube away from the insert. For Churchills and long formats (>170 mm), actual capacity is 2 to 3 cigars depending on the diameter.
