Maximum diameter 21 mm — how to check: the cepo of a cigar expressed in 64ths of an inch converts to mm by multiplying by 0.397. Cepo 52 = 20.6 mm ✔ — compatible with Rick 21. Cepo 54 = 21.4 mm — borderline. Cepo 60 = 23.8 mm — incompatible. In practice, Robusto, Corona, Churchill, Toro, and Lancero formats are compatible. Gordo and Double Robusto cepo 54+ may be tight or incompatible.
Travel Boveda pack: for trips longer than 24 hours, insert a travel-size 69% Boveda pack into the case before you leave. It will maintain stable humidity for several weeks without recharging. Compatible with the Rick 21's double tray — slide it between the two levels or at the bottom of the case.

For trips longer than 48 hours, add a Boveda pack and transfer your cigars to a humidor at your destination. Do not exceed the maximum diameter of 21 mm — forcing an overly wide cigar will damage the wrapper and may damage the molded compartments.
