Why a Spanish cedar interior?

It is the wood used in all premium humidors for centuries. Its hygroscopic properties naturally regulate ambient humidity — absorbing excess moisture and releasing it when the air is too dry. Its aromatic terpenes progressively enrich the aromas of your cigars through transfer, following the same principle as barrel aging. And it naturally repels the tobacco beetle, a harmful insect that can destroy a collection.

Between the two, the glass window lets you see the cigars without opening, and the front-mounted hygrometer shows the state of the humidor at a single glance. It is a humidor designed for the contemporary office rather than the mahogany lounge: clean lines, a flat 6.8 cm format that fits on a shelf or sideboard, and room for 35 cigars, enough to rotate several origins and formats.

Preparing your CARBON humidor before first use

Seasoning is an essential step before placing your cigars in a new humidor. Without this preparation, the dry cedar would absorb moisture from your cigars rather than regulating it.

Humidify the interior — gently wipe the cedar walls with a slightly damp cloth (distilled water only). Do not wet — dab.

Charge the humidifier — fill it to 50% with distilled water. Place it inside with the hygrometer and close the humidor.

Wait 24 to 48 hours — check the hygrometer. The goal is to reach 65 to 70% stably. Repeat if necessary.

Place your cigars — once humidity is stable, your CARBON humidor is ready to welcome your collection in perfect conditions.

Distilled water only in the humidifier — never tap water. Limescale clogs humidification systems and can leave deposits on tobacco leaves. Check the hygrometer every two weeks.

Seasoning mandatory before first use: new cedar is delivered dry. Without seasoning, it absorbs humidity from your cigars during the first few days — drying them out and altering their wrapper. Follow the 4 steps above before placing your collection inside.
