🪐
The suspended planetary system
The World Circle Pendant Light draws its inspiration from the cosmos: these floating celestial objects that are isolated planets and ringed giants like Saturn. The World model is the pure spherical planet—a glass globe suspended from a thin metal rod that evokes the invisible orbit. The Circle model materializes this orbit with a hoop ring surrounding the globe—a direct reference to Saturn's rings, perhaps the most poetically recognizable planetary system in the solar system. This cosmic inspiration gives the light fixture a narrative dimension that goes beyond the simple function of lighting: hanging a World Circle from the ceiling means bringing a fragment of the universe into your home, creating an object of contemplation that invites you to look up and dream of infinite spaces.

Create your own planetary system

Beyond solo use, the World Circle Pendant Light reveals its potential in cosmic compositions. Some inspiring arrangements: 1 World + 2 Circle in a triangle above a dining table to evoke a central planetary system with ringed satellites; 3 identical units aligned above a kitchen island for a coherent trio; 5 to 7 units at varying heights in a large living room to create a true suspended star map. Combine the 2 glass finishes (Transparent + Amber) to differentiate the "planets"—each globe becomes a distinct star in your personal cosmos. Each unit is ordered individually.

Bulb tip. Opt for an E27 Edison LED bulb with a visible filament, in warm white (2700K), 400-600 lumens intensity, tube or globe shape. The Edison filament shape is essential for this pendant: its centered light point and decorative visible filament create a striking visual effect through the glass—particularly spectacular on the Transparent finish where the filament is fully revealed. For the Amber finish, the effect is more enveloping: the filament filtered by the tinted glass provides a meditative golden warmth. Avoid frosted globe LEDs, which would diminish this decorative filament effect.

World Circle Pendant Light vs Mini Branching Bubble Pendant Light? Both pendants share glass, golden brass, and Transparent/Amber finishes, but their identities are radically distinct. The Mini Branching Bubble Pendant Light (Branching Bubble collection) is a compact pendant with a rigid rod and 1 or 2 globes side by side, an organic sculptural aesthetic. The World Circle Pendant Light offers a distinctive cosmic imagination with its Circle model surrounded by a Saturnian orbital ring—a unique silhouette in the range. Choose Mini BB for consistency with the complete Branching Bubble collection (Chandelier, Sconce, ECLAT Globes), World Circle for the planetary imagination and the signature detail of the ring.

Glass and brass precautions. Blown glass is a fragile material—handle with care when unboxing and replacing the bulb, supporting the weight of the globe rather than pulling on the screw thread. For the golden brass finish, avoid abrasive cloths and ammonia-based solvents that could tarnish the plating. Brass naturally develops a patina over the years, which is generally perceived as an aesthetic asset enriching the original shade. For the Circle model, the orbital ring is integrated with the structure—do not force it during cleaning. No dimmable function: if you want to adjust the intensity, consider our dimmable pendant lights (Rhythm Nordic, Éclats de Rhythm).

Poetic cosmic design gift. The World Circle Pendant Light is a distinctive gift for lovers of narrative design and original imageries. The Circle model in Amber finish is our favorite: the combination of a Saturnian ring + amber glass brings a memorable visual signature that transforms a room. A cluster of 3 units (1 World + 2 Circle) above a dining table is a significant furnishing gift for apartment renovations or loft openings. Ideal for astronomy enthusiasts, designers, creatives, or anyone who appreciates decorative objects that tell a story beyond their simple function.

Frequently asked questions

World or Circle: which model to choose?
The World model (H 30 × W 25 cm) is the pure isolated planetary globe—a simpler, more classic silhouette, slightly larger format. Ideal as a solo pendant in a living room or above a console. The Circle model (H 25 × W 15 cm) adds the orbital hoop ring that surrounds the globe—a more distinctive and narrative silhouette (direct reference to Saturn's rings), more compact format. Ideal as a bedside lamp, solo pendant in a bedroom, or in a cosmic cluster. If you're hesitating: Circle offers more visual character and signature; World is more discreet and versatile.
Transparent or Amber: which glass to choose?
Transparent glass is crystalline and fully reveals the filament Edison bulb—the most contemporary and luminous choice, ideal for highlighting the beauty of a decorative Edison LED. Assumed "raw object" effect. Amber glass is mass-tinted with warm honey reflections—the light passing through it becomes enveloping golden, ideal for cozy, Art Deco, warm mid-century ambiances. More narrative "heritage object" effect. For a cluster, you can mix the 2 finishes to differentiate the "planets" and create a varied star map.
How to create a cosmic cluster?
Here are some inspiring compositions: 1 central World + 2 Circles at the ends in a triangle above a dining table for a complete planetary system; 3 identical units aligned above a kitchen island for a coherent trio; 5 to 7 units at varying heights in a large living room for a star map. For heights: vary them imperatively (110/130/150 cm from the ceiling)—asymmetry creates the poetic effect. For finishes: alternate Transparent and Amber to differentiate the "planets." Each unit is ordered individually.
Which bulb to choose?
A visible filament LED E27 Edison bulb, in warm white (2700 Kelvin), intensity 400 to 600 lumens. The Edison shape is essential because the glass allows the bulb to be seen inside — the decorative filament creates a striking visual effect. For the Transparent finish, the filament is fully revealed. For the Amber finish, the filament is filtered by the tinted glass, casting a warm golden glow. Avoid frosted globe LEDs that obscure the filament and diminish this signature visual effect. Also avoid bulbs at 5000K or more, which produce a cold light.
Is the light fixture Dimmable?
No, the World Circle Pendant is not Dimmable. The light intensity is fixed and depends solely on the E27 bulb you choose. If you want the Dimmable function (brightness adjustment), opt for our equipped pendants: Rhythm Nordic (Dimmable option with remote control over 4 lengths), Éclats de Rhythm (Dimmable LED with 300° arm rotation). You can also use a wall dimmer compatible with your electrical installation and choose a Dimmable LED bulb — this allows you to regulate the intensity without changing the fixture.
Is the light fixture certified?
Yes, the World Circle Pendant is CE certified, guaranteeing compliance with European electrical safety and environmental standards. CE certification attests that the product has been tested for safe use (no electrical risks, compliant materials), electromagnetic compatibility (no interference), and respect for environmental regulations. It is a guarantee of quality and reliability for your purchase.
How to install the World Circle Pendant?
Installation is standard: the ceiling rose is fixed to a standard ceiling junction box. The cable is then connected, and the E27 bulb of your choice is screwed into the socket. For the Circle model, the orbital ring is integral to the structure and comes pre-assembled. For the World model, the vertical rod is also pre-assembled. If your electrical installation is not up to standard, call a qualified electrician. For multi-unit clusters, plan for several ceiling connection points (one per pendant) according to your desired composition — trace the layout on the floor before drilling.
